So what you say? There’s nothing wrong with a few mice running around right? Maybe in a mechanic’s shop a few scattering mice are OK, but not in a home. Rats and mice carry disease and when left unchecked, they wreak havoc on a home and put families at risk of acquiring health issues, just to say the least.
So what happened during this rat control job at Mount Pleasant? Well Mount Pleasant is pretty much a rural area rich with all forms of wildlife and because of that fact, seeing a few mice and rats around your home usually doesn’t set off any alarms.
In cases like this, it’s natural for some complacency to set in over time and if it does, before you know it you’ve got an infestation that’s totally out of control, and usually a destroyed home to go along with it.
These indisputable facts and the many customer testimonials we’ve received over the years clearly point to why animal control for rats and mice is so important to take care of before an infestation occurs.
Watch the video below where I show you graphic examples of how this rat problem got from bad to worse.
For those who want to read rather than watch the video, we came to what we thought was going to be a small mouse control job but found that a previous inspection was done but wasn’t done completely and the result was that they in fact had a rat infestation. During our inspection we also found a large hole chewed out in the drywall at the door-step of the internal garage door; and further along the back wall after removing a large shelf we found several other rather large rat holes.
This kind of damage pointed to a long-term mouse infestation; to the point where the home owners started hearing a lot of sounds coming from their attic and walls. For those who aren’t quite sure if they’ve got an infestation, I refer you to my previous article were I give you the top signs you have mice in your home and what you should do about it (link: https://www.allwildlife.ca/pest-control/the-top-10-signs-you-have-mice-living-in-your-home/).
