REMOVING A SQUIRREL FROM A DOWNSPOUT

When it comes to removing squirrels from a home or business, it’s rare that we find a squirrel who has decided to make his home in a downspout. But it did happen.

Just a few days ago, we were called out to the Children’s Aid Society, where it seems a squirrel had either decided to make a home in their downspout or actually got stuck. The latter probably didn’t happen, but regardless of why he was there, he had to be removed.

If you watch the video below, you’ll see how we had to remove the downspout piping to get access to where the squirrel was. Not too long later, we got the squirrel out and he had a happy ending.

Don’t Remove Squirrels Yourself

Please note, that although removing a squirrel from this establishment may have looked easy, it really isn’t. You’ll notice at the end of this video that the squirrel ended up bumping into my leg before he scurried off – well there was that chance that he took a bite out of me in fear before doing so. That’s just a tiny example of how dangerous it is to handle wildlife of all kinds.

This applies to the removal of mice and rodents, bat removal and control and of course all other wildlife like raccoons, skunks and opossum removals.

Play it safe and call the experts. You’ll be glad that you did!
