Skunks are not to be messed with. Usually they will go away if you leave them alone. If they don't go away, we are the ones to call. Never approach a skunk that is hanging around, as this is a sign they could be sick or injured and thus more likely to spray in defense.

Skunks are mammals best known for their ability to secrete a liquid with a strong, foul-smelling odor. General appearance ranges from species to species, from black-and-white to brown or cream colored. Skunks belong to the family Mephitidae[1][2] and to the order Carnivora

Skunk species vary in size from about 15.6 to 37 inches (40 to 94 cm) and in weight from about 1.1 pounds (0.50 kg) (the spotted skunks) to 18 pounds (8.2 kg) (the hog-nosed skunks). They have a moderately elongated body with relatively short, well-muscled legs, and long front claws for digging.

Although the most common fur color is black and white, some skunks are brown or grey, and a few are cream-colored. All skunks are striped, even from birth. They may have a single thick stripe across back and tail, two thinner stripes, or a series of white spots and broken stripes (in the case of the spotted skunk). Some also have stripes on their legs.

Steps 1&2:

Eviction and Prevention. We first check to find out how the skunks are gaining entry. We check roof soffit intersections RSI, breather bricks, gaps between brick and siding, roof vents, dryer, gable vent, and exhaust vents, and many other areas on various types of structures. We will then draft up a quote to completely solve your bat problem and answer any questions you might also have. Payment and/or payment arrangements are made before any work is done by All Wildlife Removal Inc. Then we seal off all areas, except the main entry points with screening and or caulking. If it’s not during the regular baby season (May thru August), then we will install a one way door so they can exit attic and never come back in.

Steps 3&4:

Decontamination and restoration. In the case of skunks we sometimes have to wait almost a full year before we can do this procedure. All wildlife Removal will remove all harmful waste in a very safe and professional manor using only top quality equipment. Often in the case of skunks, we will suggest a full rip out of attic insulation and all materials in the attic. We would then vacuum up the attic, soffits, and any other areas we find droppings (guano). Then the infected area(s) are sprayed and/or misted down with a hydrogen peroxide based liquid to destroy all bacteria.
