On August 12, 2009 we inspected the home of Joanne in Burlington, Ontario. During inspection, our technician found evidence of mouse activity throughout the property and originating in the attic. The determined point of entry was through the soffit/brick line around the perimeter of the house. The attic insulation was found to be compromised with mouse feces, trampling and tunnelling. Suggested work included eviction, prevention, decontamination and restoration of the attic.
On August 13, 2009 a team of our technicians installed One Way Doors to begin the eviction process and completed prevention work along the soffit/brick line with additional prevention at ground level as recommended during the time of inspection. When we returned to complete our final eviction inspection, the customer reported no further activity in the areas of concern. The attic was inspected and our technicians confirmed to go ahead with attic decontamination and restoration. The contaminated insulation was sucked out of the attic, decontamination spray applied and new blown insulation applied to R-50.
The customer was guaranteed against re-entry and has not reported any new activity to date.
