When you have a wild or stray animal in your yard, garage, shed, or house, you might be so concerned to get it out of there that you make the first call that comes to mind. But is it the right call?

Though calling the Humane Society or your local SPCA might be your first thought, this isn’t always necessary, and sometimes, it won’t help, either. These types or organizations will only come to your home for specific animal calls.

When to Call the Humane Society or SPCA

You go outside and find a domestic animal in your yard. It has a collar, and probably seems friendly enough. Well, in this case, you’re probably looking at a lost pet, whether that’s a dog, cat, or another small critter. In this case, calling the Humane Society or the SPCA is definitely the right call. These organizations will send someone to pick up the animal, or request that you bring it in to the shelter. At that point, the shelter staff will try to find the pet’s true owner and take care of its needs until its owner is found. If its family cannot be found, it will be put up for adoption.

In some cases, the Humane Society or SPCA will also help when it comes to wildlife, but only if the animal is sick or injured.

When to Call All Wildlife Removal Inc.

So the animal in your home or yard isn’t a lost pet or stray domestic animal and it isn’t a sick or injured wild animal. If this is the case, then you should call All Wildlife Removal Inc., instead of the Humane Society or SPCA—because they won’t do anything.

Therefore, if you have living and healthy mice in your walls, a happy family of raccoons destroying your attic, or a skittering squirrel making noises in your chimney, you’ll need to call a wildlife control company to take care of the issue.

If you have an infestation of mice or family of wild animals living in your home, then a wildlife control company should be called. The SPCA won’t handle these types of calls for multiple pests.

However, if you have a sick or injured animal living in your home that the SPCA cannot gain access to or doesn’t have the tools or equipment to successfully remove, then a wildlife removal company should be called in to help take care of the problem.

What’s especially great about calling a wildlife removal company, though, is that the company will do so much more than just remove the animal and be on their way. If you want a home inspection to see if there are any other animals living elsewhere in the home, if you want to identify the entry points that the wildlife is using to enter your home, or if you want to prevent future intrusion from these pests, then All Wildlife Removal Inc. is the right call. And while the Humane Society will just remove the animal and leave, a wildlife removal company will stay to repair the damage caused by the wild animal.

To recap: call a professional and accredited wildlife control company if the animal in your home isn’t a lost pet belonging to another family; if the animal is sick or injured but hiding in a place that can’t be reached; when the animal in your home is wild and in good health; when there are many animals in your home, attic, or walls; when you want to find the source of entry; want to prevent future intrusions; or need help with repairing the damage caused by the animal.
